Britain's top 100 financial advisers have been announced by FT Adviser, with Johnston Carmichael Wealth securing the top spot for the third consecutive year.
Despite challenges such as regulatory changes and the recent General Election, many UK financial advice firms experienced strong growth, with a surge in demand driven by significant economic shifts.
While established names such as Forvis Mazars and Mercer Private Wealth remained in the top 20, newer firms like FB Wealth Management and Fiscal Engineers made impressive debuts. Craven Street Wealth made a huge leap from 48th place to 2nd this year.
Why is my company not in the FT Adviser Top 100?
To be considered for the initial list, ISS Market Intelligence evaluates the amount of new business inflows (gross) over the past 12 months from UK platforms and discretionary asset managers.
This year, the threshold was set at £185 million in new sales.
If your firm didn’t reach that amount, it wouldn’t have made the initial list.
The shortlist is then created based on a six-point methodology, which considers various metrics, including:
- Client retention
- Whether the firm is chartered or accredited
- Staff retention
- Individual accreditations
- How long the firm has been in business
- What is the net sales percentage score
